A minor upgrade that has proven very useful on Galway Girl is the replacement of the guard-wire lashings with Pelican Hooks.
The clips we used are “Sta-Lok 5/16 Pelican Hooks with 4mm DIY Sta-Lok stud“. They crimp directly onto the guardwire with no special tooling, and come with clear instructions.
These clips make access much easier, particularly when loading materials from a punt or boarding the dog. I can easily clamber in from the ground, and I expect this arrangement would be a big help in a MOB situation. It also significantly improves disabled access.
